ET has obtained court documents that demonstrate that Robert Halderman , the man arrested for allegedly attempting to extort $2 million from David Letterman , was required to pay significant monthly child support and alimony payments. The “48 Hours” producer is required to pay $6,800 per month in alimony and child support to ex-wife Patty Montet , with whom he has two children. In May of 2011, that figure will drop to $5,966.66.
The bickering Foa Foa tribe lost its third Immunity challenge in a row on last night’s “Survivor: Samoa,” which meant that they had to send one more member home at Tribal Council. After some negotiating, during which it looked as if it would be Ashley , the tribe rallied around Jaison Robinson , who told his fellow castaways that he didn’t want to stay in Samoa one more day if he had to be in the same tribe as Ben. Despite a short stay on the island, Ben will be remembered along with such “Survivor” villains as Johnny Fairplay and Richard Hatch .
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has released a statement to ET in regard to the alleged extortion case involving David Letterman . The statement reads: “The defendant Robert Joel Halderman , a.k.a. Joe Halderman , [who] is 51 years old of Norwalk, CT, was indicted on an attempted grand larceny charge.
In an interview with ET airing Friday night, Jon Gosselin is apologizing to his estranged wife Kate . He tells ET’s Mary Hart that if he has one thing to say to Kate, it would be: “Kate, I just want to apologize, you know for my actions. You know, I’m sorry, you know, that I was an avoider and I didn’t communicate properly. And now I have to take initiative, let’s both go together, let’s both mediate this thing out.” He also tells ET he plans to apologize to Kate face-to-face
Us magazine is reporting that a woman, who is claiming to be one of next season’s bachelorettes, has revealed the identity of the next “Bachelor” to be Jake Pavelka . But ABC will neither confirm nor deny the claim, saying: “We are not going to confirm who ‘The Bachelor’ is, or if this woman is even one of the bachelorettes. People need to tune into ‘Dancing With the Stars’ on October 13 to find out the real identity of the next ‘Bachelor.’” Jake was a fan favorite and an early frontrunner on last season’s “The Bachelorette” after his one-on-one date with Jillian Harris , during which they were serenaded in a private concert by Martina McBride .
